Well, for those of you concerned with where your Appe-Teaser went yesterday.. I need to know something about you first: Who is your daddy, and what does he do? I digress.. instead, I am going to give you a double dose for your eyes and mouth. I'm all moved into my new apartment and ready to vomit all over the internet once more! I can hardly contain my elation to be back writing and looking at movie trailers again, so here it is, two times the movies and only half as entertaining:
The pReview Re-viewing Appe-Teasers for October 28th!
This week's main events!!! We have a few pretty sweet looking flicks coming out: One about 1/5 of N*Sync stealing time. Another movie based on the writings of Hunter S. Thompson. A movie to explain what was *really* going on in Shakespeare's life. And an assassin thriller starring Forman from That 70's Show.
First up is In Time. I've done a Re-viewing of this, already. To see the full review, click Justin Timberlake's face:
You can take this time to skip ahead to the final verdict, but if you are curious about what you missed last week, keep reading..
The pReview Re-viewing Appe-Teasers for October 21st!
First off, last week had some, "Let's just make some money off of these people." movies: A prequel to a prequel that was also a sequel to its prequel. A 3D rehashing of a great story that's already been done well. An actual Diamond in the Rough about the 2008 financial crisis starring Neo-Spock. And lastly, another sequel.. this time, starring Mr. Bean. If you're curious what the names of these movies are and how I will tell you to not watch half of them, just keep reading..
Paranormal Activity is a series of movies that capiptalized on the fact that it is REALLY, REALLY, REEEEEEAAAALLLLLLLLLLLY easy to make movies from the comfort of your own home. The result of which is a creepfest crammed into roughly 10% of the actual movie. They get the job done, however, as most people seem to only be remembering THAT 10% of the movies! Paranormal Activity 3 may actually take that 10% and turn it into 20%! The movie follows the 2 sisters from the first 2 movies as they grow up and deal with the fact that their parents sold their souls to a demon at a very young age. That's just bad parenting, if you ask me.. You may be able to avoid the theater on this, because Paranormal Activity 2 went to DVD like 10 minutes after it was released theatrically. If you like sitting in a dark theater for long stretches of someone else's home movies, check out:
In Time: more like Just-In Time! hahahaha.. I am, seriously, the funniest person ever. You're welcome. Watch this NOW!
The Rum Diary: Quite enterataining looking.. if I ever taught a class on becoming a journalist, it would be 1 class, 5 hours long, and I would show Fear & Loathing, Where the Buffalo Roam, and then The Rum Diary.
Anonymous: Definitely worth a view, I think. Hey, if nothing else, fun accents and kooky costumes!
The Double: I haven't seen a movie trailer in quite some time that stars big actors and that so embodies what we lost when the 90's went away. As such, let's go back to a time when DVDs were brand new and watch this on its intended format.
LaSt WeEk?
Paranormal Schmactivity: How much money are you willing to give these people.. watch it at home.. in the dark.. by yourself.
The Three Musketeers: I can see lots of people going to see this in the theater.. in 3D.. but I just don't know... why...
Margin Call: Like I said, on paper, this looks like a snorefest. The trailer does its job, though, and so do the actors. This might be worth a look-see.
Johnny English Reborn: With the exception of Ace Ventura and Austin Powers, there aren't a whole lot of these kinds of comedies that get good sequels.. I'm willing to find out if this one hits the mark.. just not until it hits DVD.
Until Monday!
